My name is Nina Savinova, a Brazil & Russia-based illustrator and pattern designer.
I was born in Russia. I moved to Brazil when I was 25, and from then never stop wandering around the world. I became very curious about other cultures, beauty of nature and influence that it has on us. I learned to observe and discover beauties in everything around me. For now I live and work on a Brazilian island, where inspiration is everywhere.
To develop my playful and vibrant prints, I lean on my background in studying art in Russia with wonderful teachers and inspiring nature of Tropical Islands, joyful people and bright colors of Brazil. Today it is my passion: creating patterns, prints and stories about what I see.
MY PROCESS
For most of my illustrations, I paint them in watercolor or digitally. I love the delicate touch and unpredictable nature of watercolor. I enjoy the freedom and variety of digital painting. I love hunting for colors, textures, details, interesting surfaces and wonderful characters, wherever I am.
My illustrations are full of color, rich details and joyful feelings. Either for home decor or apparel, I create beautiful pattern collections with always the final application in mind. From sketches to final product mock-ups, I work with your art team and your manufacturers to create your vision and bring an original and colorful approach to your final product.
I enjoy experiencing with different mediums to create original artworks for the fashion industry under the latest trends. My services include original artwork development, print and pattern design, indexing, engineered patterns.
